My name is Fleur van der Kooij, I am the founder and designer of Elisabeth Fleur Couture. Here I bring my passion for fashion and design to life in unique creations that emphasize your style and personality.
The story starts a long time ago, as early as I can remember I have been fascinated by the world of princesses and the beautiful dresses they wear. My first real idol was Sissi, the young Empress of Austria. About 15 years later I chose to give my passion for Fashion a follow-up by following the training at the Business Fashion Academy in Eindhoven. For my first assignment, to portray my alter ego, I portrayed myself as 'Elisabeth', the name of my great-grandmother, the real name of Sissi and also my third own name. For that assignment I put on my old Sissi dress and eventually I walked around in this dress for 4 hours. That was the moment I realized that I felt so beautiful and fine in that dress, where I thought "I want to give this feeling to more people" and that was the beginning of Elisabeth Fleur Couture.

Although I have no sewing experience, I started on an old sewing machine from the market, and once I started I noticed that I had a great feeling for it. In retrospect this is not so strange because my grandmother Marijke is a tailor and my great-grandmother Elisabeth also worked in couture. Everything suddenly fell into place.
Elisabeth Fleur is more than just a brand, I want it to be an experience. A journey to recreate the feeling I have when I wear such a beautiful dress. Whether it is a fairytale wedding, a sparkling evening on a red carpet or a chic gala night, Elisabeth Fleur is ready to bring your dreams to life and make you feel your best and most beautiful.
